@ifrit there’s always a possibility theme authors are doing something unusual with featured images, and since it’s a paid theme the only thing I can recommend is testing to see if you have the same problem with a different theme.

Video Thumbnails only uploads the full-resolution image (you should be able to find the full-size image in your media library), and then it’s up to WordPress and your theme to create any other sizes being displayed.

You’ll need to delete “Video Thumbnails for deTube” and use the official plugin, as recommended in the creator’s upgrade instructions.
