I didnt bump but rather posted what I received this morning. I have been trying to figure out what is going on and they just keep emailing me the same thing (so frustrating!)

In reply to: Server Overload? I don't know what is going onI received this from my ISP today. I am on a dedicated server and my PVs average between 2000 and 3000 a day. When I’ve looked at connections, I average between 60 and 100 at a time. Isn’t index.php the thing that everything on WP goes through? Is there any thing I can do?
I use the Genesis theme (Magazine child) because I was told that was very efficient. Is there something else I should be doing?
My blog was rebooted several times today and was off-line for hours. I don’t understand how a dedicated server can’t handle this relatively small blog.

As far as I can see the script /home/getti4/public_html/gettingpastyourpast/index.php is causing excessive resources on your server, which caused the server unresponsive on a few occasions now.
The server started alerting on nagios today as well. I have issued a reboot to get the server back online. Please look into the original issue with the script or if you have legitimate traffic, please consider upgrading the server to a higher level package.

When I told them to go back and put that information in they didnt’ wind up in moderation. But I like that white list idea. Thanks!

In reply to: WP.com migration help with pluginsYes, they’re both checked. The thing is that it is only happening to 3 posters. I don’t know why it has targeted these 3 posters. And these same 3 posters have avatars that don’t show up. I don’t get it.

For number 2 the problem is that the same posters go into moderation all the time while others don’t. I can’t figure out how to prevent it. My site is configured that the commenter must have one post approved and then no moderation. But I still have some people who go into moderation every single time.

I went into both blogs and deleted a lot of stuff but it doesn’t affect the file size too much. I will ask at wordpress.com but they tend to say it’s a .org issue. thanks.

In reply to: Can’t get past you don’t have permisson errorsIt happens either way as I documented in the main post. I tried doing it through the provider and when that didn’t work I went step by step through the manual install and that would give me the errors before I even got to the dashboard.
Also this error is all over the site and on other blogs. I’ve tried all the suggestions like force-upgrade and nothing works. This is not a host issue, it’s a Word Press issue.
