problem solved, I had to copy and insert the new code into the index.php and now it works.
I forgot to mention that in the preview it works, the empty slides are not shown anymore, but on the blog itself I still see the empy (black) slides…
Thanks Jeff, I was also thinking about this one.
I created now a new category and chose only this one to be displayed. The problem I have is that this setting seems not to work on my blog. Even though I have chosen the category with pics (only one post in it), but it still shows the empty slides….

Is it possible, that search engines don’t rank sites high which have too many errors?
some of them seem not too important to me (I mean the errors)btw, the problem with the menu on my blog was only that I was logged in to my blog with wp-admin on another tab. When I log out and go to the site, the menu works fine. It opens a new menu bar when you are logged in to wordpress and this shifts all a little down except the submenu….
