Solved the Register problem. But still have this “Ghost” User problem.

Anyone?

OK problem solved. I have the Super Admin option now, so everything should be ok from here. The problem was an error in the define MULTISITE line in wp-config.php. Correcting that fixed the problem. Thanks for all your help.

I don’t have that problem. I have the network menu option, and it can find my network. But I don’t have any Super Admin option.

Where did you need to put the line?

I followed those steps to create a network. The network is created. I’m logged in as Admin. I don’t have any Super Admin option in the Dashboard Menu

When I goto mydomain.com/wp-admin/ms-options.php it says “Multisite support isn’t enabled”.

When I goto mydomain.com/wp-admin/ms-options.php it says “Multisite support isn’t enabled” When I go to Tools>Network> it says “a WordPress network was detected”. I have “define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);” in my wp-config.php file. So what else do I have to do in order to get Multisite support working?

OK. For some reason, there was no wp-config.php file in my wp root directory, only wp-config-example.com. So I’ve no idea how I managed to get my blog working in the first place. But it is working. So I added the wp-config.php file, and enabled Tools > Network, including the suggested modifications required for blogs.dir, and editing wp-config.php and .htaccess. Now when I select Tools > Network, it warns me I have a network already enabled. So I guess it’s been setup correctly, but I’ve no idea how this does anything to help with enabling users to create their own blogs on my website. As far as I can tell, I don’t see any way for a new user to create a blog.

Is Super Admin different to the first Admin account? I don’t see any Options, only Dashboard, Posts, Media, Links, Pages, Comments, Appearance, Plugins, Users, Tools, Settings. I get the feeling we are not on the same wavelength?

I’m back at square 1. Signing up only give me Subscriber status. So I still don’t see how a new member gets their own blog. I see nothing which even intimates that a new signup gets their own blog.

So do I have to setup the Role of each blogger as an Editor before they can start their blog?

What I actually did was login as admin and create myself as a user and login as that at wcblog.com

OK. I’ve pinpointed it down to the use of the Domain_Portfolio 1.1 plugin being added to the page. It appears to be serving up old deleted text along with the plugin. Still any ideas would be appreciated. This plugin seems to be working well on other sites.

Anyone want to take a stab at this one?

I found this in my database. Would it be related?..

The following indexes appear to be equal and one of them should be removed: post_content, post_content_2

I also found this in my database…

Rows post_content
2 <a href=”http://www.dnoa.org/profile.selldoms%4…
1 I’ve acquired many domains related to domains,
1 This website has been setup to sell my portfolio

This looks correct. The bottom row is my Home Page, The middle row is my About Page and the top row is my created page. Actually I have 2 created pages. But this IS NOT what is displaying!!!
