Is the navigation appearing correctly above the header on the other pages? So it’s only the category page where the portion of text is hidden?
Have you edited the category.php file separately? Is the code you pasted from the category.php file.
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a grasp on where you are now

I just want to check – are you looking at the clicky dashboard or the WordPress dashboard?
Can you go to your Clicky dashboard, take a screenshot and post it here so I can see what you’re seeing please?

So that I can try and help I’m going to try and workout what stage you’re at and what you’ve done so far.
Have you set up a child theme to make changes to the styling?
If so have you applied the transparent background in css but it’s not showing up?
