When you go into “Pages” go to your home page. Open it up and look over on the right hand side of the page where you would create tags and categories for the post. The theme you have should have a template option that you can change.
On the pages, try setting the template over on the right hand side. It looks like your theme has different templates for different pages.
Yep, posts page is the page you create for posts. Should work if the theme was written properly.

In reply to: Can't access my site at all- Error 500Are you familiar with FTP and how to upload website files?
You can re-upload functions.php using Dreamweaver or Filezilla and overwrite the copy you might have screwed up. This should fix it if that was the issue that was caused.
Go to “Settings” > “Reading” and select a static page as your home page. Create a separate page before doing this for your blog and then set this under the same settings.

In reply to: Can't access my site at all- Error 500500 error is a server side issue. Contact your web hosting company as they are probably at fault.
AS esmi mentioned, this can also happen as a result of conflicts between plugins if there is nothing wrong with the host.
Had this happen a few weeks ago as a result of a MySQL issue with my hosting company.
