Hi Karel,
Haha yes, I found a fix pretty quickly in the meantime.
Will mark this as fixed 🙂
StefHi Karel,
Thanks for reporting this, I’ll look into it.
As you noticed, there’s still a lot of room for improvement. The plugin is still growing, and any feedback is always welcome.
I might switch to a different synchronisation method to avoid this issue altogether. In the meantime, if you’re hosting on Plesk (or something similar), this is likely the cause and the fix: hotlink protection blocking the images.
Let me know if that helps.
Best,
StefHi Karel,
Thanks for reporting this, and good timing – this has just been fixed. The plugin now correctly detects the Facebook in-app browser on mobile, so users are no longer shown the QR code prompt and can go straight into the AR experience without having to open the page in an external browser first.
Try opening one of your product links from a Facebook post on your phone again. Could you let me know whether it works as expected on your end now? If it does, I’ll mark this topic as resolved.
Kind regards,
StefHi Karel,
Thanks for your question, and apologies for the late reply – I wasn’t able to respond on the forum until now.
Good news: this was indeed already possible at the time you responded. ArtInAR lets you choose which image is used for the 3D/AR view and the QR code, so you can select the “painting only” gallery image instead of the main product image.
Kind regards,
Stef
