I have been a long term XO Communications/ Concentric hosting customer for several sites. I had to pay their professional services team to fix the wordpress install on their own servers! Just recently had to update WP on one of their hosted sites and the kaboom! it blew up WP. AND, to top it off, they do not have the paid services team option anymore, so too bad if you have a problem. And, for support, I was told to search the web and wordpress for a solution.
Why am I writing this? 1) to say thank you to the developers of this plugin who have fixed the problem and 2) to encourage you to run fast and far from Concentric hosting. It is obvious they have stopped updating their backend for webhosting (and it is quite lame compared to other companies). I think they are getting out of the hosting business… slowly and painfully to those of us who use it. I’ve moved some of my sites from them, others on the way…
Concentric should be ashamed of themselves.

In reply to: 2.6 new install is 301 redirecting – please see code belowMy issue was a host issue by concentric hosting (XO communications). They basically support installation of WP 2.2 and upgrading to WP 2.6 requires significant modification on their part of the wp-settings.php file.
I had to use XO’s professional support team and pay them to fix this. They were quite aware of the issue, knew the fix, and fixed it immediately. If you are using them as a host and are having this problem, contact me and I’ll email you the adjusted file (and you won’t have to pay for it).
It’s too big to post here I believe.

I believe I have the same problem, checked your solution, did indeed have trailing slashes there, but it has not resolved the issue. Curious if this has fixed for Ailadi. More info here if you please.
