A followup on this,, I updated to v2.0 (and cant respond in official forum, appears broken), I’m now having some alignment issues with http://hfrecruitment.com.au/wp/ I think it may be a div tag or css issue, my edit to css alignment for the footer seems to be ignored. The problem is Id like the footer to sit within the site like the restof the content, pref centre aligned, but definitely not outside therest of the box/border the site is within.you can look direct at the site, (I believe only functions file and css weremodified though). Thanks!

    1. It is the latest 3.2.1, and the formatting is not lost between switching between visual/html, or saving. It is still there if I edit now, just not displayed on the live page. But the visual version still keeps everything as is. strange. SO I think it could be some breaking of loops etc, or a template issue. Is there an easy way to test the code? Is the w3c validator good enough (it showed nothing major for me), or does such testing need to be done server side?

2.Hard coding an h2 in to the post content area does work as it should.
Yes, I think the headings issue may be the templates, and would be the logical answer. Will have a more in depth look in to that.

I think the general issue is that it is probably all to do with the templates, Im just not sure why anyone would create a template/style that ignores the visual editor? or if its some kind of bug or just broken code.

Have a look again (I did have the formatting hard coded in via the HTML editor page), but reverted it back to the formatted via the visual editor (which is being saved, but being ignored in the live post), to try and resolve this issue.

Also, in regards to the headers I meant the headings for the individual post/page heading title (h2 etc)

    Thanks

Let me know how you go. You’d think it would be a pretty common script.

Checked the error logs (when using the plugin in conjunction with the non-standard theme), and get:
[03-Jun-2011 10:04:58] PHP Warning: call_user_func_array() [<a href='function.call-user-func-array'>function.call-user-func-array</a>]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, 'vn_option_setup' was given in /home/XXX/public_html/XXX.com/test/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 395

Not sure why it’s only an error when 1 theme is in use and not the other.
Does that mean anything to anyone?

Although not the prettiest for my needs (I would prefer contact form 7 to do the calculation live), I hacked away at price-calc and got to something almost what I need, and it was working ok in default twenty ten theme, then when i upgraded the theme it suddenly completely broke.

Any idea why a theme would break a/this plugin, and how I could get around it?

Problem solved. If anyone else has similar issues, the solution is that the theme files were too deep in the file structure of the theme zip, had to make a new seperate zip without the extra folders it comes with by default.

Ah I did just find some additional information at the bottom of the themes page:

    Broken Themes

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
    Name Description

    PolishedTheme Stylesheet is missing.

Not sure if this is a relevant error though, as nothing was mentioned about css in install error, and there IS a style.css in the theme dir

You may be having issues if there are no images in the folder. I believe that will give you an error, as it did for me.
Have only the image(s) you want to display as the banner in the folder, and remove the rest.
