Thanks, Esmi. I have all plug ins deactivated now and it is still happening with my current theme. What would happen if I activated the Twenty Thirteen theme? When I preview it my banner and colors are gone and my navigation bar has lots of things I don’t need there. I wouldn’t be opposed to changing themes as I am not in love with my current theme (not many choices for links in navigation bar etc) but I don’t think I have the technical knowledge to get it looking the way I’d want it unless it is really simple to customize. Could it be related to my theme not meshing well with 3.6?

Thanks Jay – I am just not sure what to look for. I’m not very tech savvy and I’m afraid of deleting something that is important. How can you tell if a file is malicious? Do you do this from your WordPress dashboard or a host like Go Daddy, and is that something GO Daddy would guide me through over the phone?

My update is just that deleting the pay online code worked, and Go Daddy told me there was a required WordPress update in red that needed to be done so they recommended that I do the update.

Wow I am glad I posted. Yes I am on Go Daddy and that is the code Andrew found. I’ll see if I can go get rid of it first then check out the what to do if you’ve been hacked references – thanks for those, Andrew! So perhaps we should also contact Go Daddy?

Still having trouble and now readers of the blog tell me that they are starting to get the error when they try to go on the site. That would be great if you could take a look. The designer did already try the suggestions in the help file, but thank you for sharing. How do I get in touch with you?
