In reply to: [SSL Zen — SSL Certificate Installer & HTTPS Redirects] Verification failed@lysod The HTTP method won’t work until you place the verification files in the public directory of your website.
In this case, I would recommend you use the DNS verification, we have a detailed guide on how to use DNS method along with a video.@splintercreative We display the certificates on Step 3 in the plugin.
In WordPress dashboard there are zero instructions under the “Setup” menu item. The setup page simply shows a two-column comparison of the free and pro versions.
– Please select the free version and complete the setup process.@sophielowden
1. Please deactivate the plugin
2. Please delete the expired SSL certificate by following these instructions – https://docs.sslzen.com/article/18-how-to-delete-an-expired-ssl-certificate-in-cpanel
3. Download the latest version of the plugin or re-activate if you are already using the latest version of the plugin.
4. Go through the setup process again and everything should work. The issue is your website is using an expired SSL certificate and our plugin cannot override it.
@malae You can go ahead and safely delete those files.
@neiljw You need a wildcard SSL certificate to cover all of your sub-domains. We are planning to launch this feature in the coming weeks.

In reply to: [SSL Zen — SSL Certificate Installer & HTTPS Redirects] HTTPS error@trioprinting It’s really hard to guess what could be wrong without access to your website. I would recommend you download Really Simple SSL plugin which solves any issues you have with SSL. If that does not fix the issue, please send us a message from within the plugin (click on contact us) and we will help you fix the issue.

@steingalen I see you managed to get SSL working on your website. Closing the support ticket.
@steingalen you are using CloudFlare which already provides you with a free SSL certificate. I would recommend you uninstall the plugin through FTP, just rename it to old-ssl-zen and try to access the website.
