I think this resolved it. It is activated now and the errors are gone. For some reason, emails are still not going out but i can’t say for sure this problem started with this plugin update. I didn’t run the update initially – someone at the company did and I just got pulled into solve the problem. I need to research more about why the emails aren’t actually going out.
Also if you google this “welcome email Editor is_readable(): open_basedir” you will see lots of sites started throwing this error when the plugin updated. Google indexed many sites when that error was present.
David Vongries – do you have any advice for how to fix this issue?
We installed the most recent update of Welcome Email editor and are receiving this same set of errors. Nothing has changed server side. The only changes were updates to this plugin and a few others. But when disabling this plugin, all the errors go away. Any ideas?

Again everyone of these errors go away when i disable that plugin.
