I am having the same issue. Since upgrading a couple versions ago, the thumbnail gallery gets an error after the first page when it is set as the link to go to above a slideshow. I have had to use all thumbnail galleries since.
My lightbox also won’t work with the thumbnail galleries, instead it just refreshes the browser to the image, and you have to go back to the gallery page.
