Yes, I have ‘enable full-height editor’ under the Screen Option.

I really appreciate the help and concern. Thank you. I tend to move up and down through the page or between tabs while using the editor. Thus, the clusters and modules appear and disappear continuously while I am moving my mouse around. This is more distracting and frustrating for me.

I also use netbook frequently, which has a limited screen. The old DFW was not just hiding the clusters or modules, but becoming full in height and width.

As you type, the content editor expands, so it will be full height, you just have to give it a reason to grow first. 🙂

Are you sure? Because I wrote more than 2000 words and the editor did not expand. The DFW just hides the clusters and modules, without changing the wide or height of the editor. And when I clicked outside the editor, I had to disactivate and then activate the DFW to hide the clusters and modules again.

I do not want to be misunderstood but the old DFW is more usable and clean than the new one – at least for me. Therefore, downgrading.. 🙂

I think the tip is not pertinent to my issue. I can see the DFW button anyway.

Consequently, it seems that I am confused by the intended behavior of new DFW. No full-height, just hiding clusters and modules. Sorry for the fuss. 🙁

I think I will downgrade. The old DFW was more functional.

    Thanks.

Well, I replaced the files with fresh copies like you mentioned. Nevertheless nothing has changed. I even tried different browsers – just in case.

Thanks James. But neither of them worked out. I will try downgrading after some research.
