Ahahh! After 2 hours of troubleshooting and researching the code to fix this, I’ve just found the option to edit the layout of single posts right on the WordPress editor. This is resolved.

Hey @jonathanbardo could you clarify what you mean by creating a custom plugin? I have tried editing the footer.php file with the code you suggested, but it just returns an error. Where and how would be the best way to use this code?

thanks! yeah i just figured out how to put it back by editing the wp-config.php file, I am now going to attempt to do it properly. Thanks for your help!
