tried that but as mentioned in my post, for 2 hrs it was resetting memory. not sure what that was actually doing but after 2 hours I cancelled it

did you try adding a button and linking it to the page you want them to read more? you can do this threw the page builder feature of the tesserat theme and then under basic modules there is a link button. this can be added to the home page
