Hello,
thank you for the clarification.
Yes, we remember the discussion. At the time, we tested with several bulk edit and column-based plugins but could not reproduce the behavior.
To properly address this, could you please tell us which plugin you are using that displays meta keys as columns in bulk editing, including the plugin version if possible? This will allow us to test against the same setup and ensure a proper fix.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Andre, AI for SEOHello,
thank you for following up and for the detailed explanation.
Based on how you describe the issue, this does sound like unintended behavior and not how the plugin is designed to work. To clarify the current and intended behavior:
• All AI-generated raw data is stored in the wp_postmeta table, one row per post, using a unified meta_key called ai4seo_generated_data. This follows WordPress best practices and does not create additional database columns.
• The individual, visible SEO fields, such as meta title, meta description, or focus keyphrase, are also stored in wp_postmeta as separate meta keys. These keys may include identifiers, for example _ai4seo_233_meta_title. We agree that this structure can be improved further, and we already have this on our roadmap for a future update.
Under no circumstances should the plugin create new physical columns in the wp_posts table. If you are seeing actual columns being added there, that would indicate either an unknown internal or an external issue.
To make sure we are fully aligned, could you please confirm the following: Do you actually see new columns being added to the wp_posts table itself, or are you referring to many different meta_key entries inside the wp_postmeta table?
Once we have this confirmation, we can give you a precise answer on migration options and, if needed, provide a clean and safe way forward.
Thank you again for checking back in. We will make sure to sort this out properly.
Best regards,
Andre, AI for SEO TeamHi there,
thank you for your bug report. We tested the setup on our end using Custom Post Types and Polylang but couldn’t reproduce the issue. However, these steps may help narrow it down:
- Install and activate AI for SEO.
Go to AI for SEO → Settings and click “Show advanced settings” (top right, if not already active).
Then scroll down and set “Meta Tag Output Mode” to “Disable.”
Make sure “Alt Text Injection” and “Image Title Injection” are both disabled as well.
Save the settings, then try pagination again. - Could you please tell us:
a) What is your default language on the site?
b) The exact URL where the issue occurs (e.g. the subpage where pagination breaks)?
c) Are all CPTs affected or only a specific one?
d) Are all languages affected (e.g. all redirect to Finnish when using pagination), or does this only happen on English archives?
e) What are your Polylang settings?
f) What are your CPT registration settings?
If you prefer to provide these details privately, you can also email us at info@aiforseo.ai.
Best regards,
André Erbis
AI for SEOHi there!
Thank you for your message. To help you better, could you please describe the exact workflow you currently follow when adding product images in WooCommerce? For example:- Do you upload the image as the main product image or as part of the product gallery?
- Do you upload it directly on the product edit page or beforehand in the media library (and then selecting it during image selection)?
- Are you using any additional WooCommerce plugins or image/media-related extensions that might affect how images are handled?
This information will help us understand what’s happening and offer the best solution.
Best regards

Hi Daniel,
Thanks a lot for the thoughtful suggestion and detailed explanation!
You’re absolutely right — handling dynamic content through shortcodes is crucial, especially for automated sites. Great news: as of version 2.0.1, we’ve actually implemented this exact enhancement! The plugin now uses
do_shortcode()when parsing post content, so shortcodes are fully respected during AI generation. You can safely remove your manual modification and update to the latest version of AI for SEO. The change is now baked in and should work out of the box.
We really appreciate contributions like yours — they help make the plugin better for everyone. Feel free to reach out if you have any further ideas or feedback!
Best regards
Andre from AI for SEOThat’s a great question!
It depends on how the metadata is stored and used. If AI for SEO has synchronized the generated metadata with a third-party SEO plugin like Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress, or similar, then the metadata will remain even after uninstalling AI for SEO. You can check and enable synchronization in your AI for SEO settings.
However, if synchronization was not enabled, and AI for SEO was solely responsible for outputting meta tags on your site, then those tags will no longer be generated once the plugin is deactivated or uninstalled.
Let me know if you have any other concerns!
Thank you for reaching out!
At the moment, AI for SEO does not have a feature to restrict image optimization only to those used in published posts. However, we understand your concern and are actively working on adding this functionality in the coming weeks.
To address the issue in the meantime, we’d be happy to compensate by restoring credits for images that were processed but are not part of published posts. If this would be helpful for you, just let us know, and we’ll take care of it.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hi L3gacy,
Thanks for reaching out! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Earlier today, we experienced an unexpected server downtime of about 5 hours, which may have affected the speed of the bulk generation process. The issue has since been resolved, and everything should be running smoothly now.
If you’re still encountering delays, please let us know, and we’ll investigate further. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Andre
