Hello yolgabs,

MembershipWorks is a software service, much like MailChimp, Google Maps, etc. So the plugin is just an interface for our system to your website (eg. like a MailChimp or Google Maps plugin). The plugin does not contain the code for our main system, so it is not possible to alter the plugin code to alter the basic user interface (other than tweaking some colors/layouts) or functionality of our system.

Regarding your requirements:

1. Member News – with the MembershipWorks Login Connector your members can be setup to be logged in as contributors in WordPress so they can add Posts.

2. Directory & Profiles – our system can publish a directory and profiles

3. Membership Dues & Access – our system can track membership fees and block access to certain member only content/events; however to block the ability to post to News you will need to create a custom plugin to check membership status before allowing a WP user to post.

4. Events & Tickets – You can setup events and discounted tickets for members. However note that each event has to be registered for separately, and there is no “cart” where someone can add 4 tickets for separate events and receive a larger discount.

5. Event Receipts – You can customize the event registration confirmation email for each event.

6. Help Desk/Scheduler – at this time we do not have an help desk or scheduler feature.

However we do understand that you may have certain requirements that our system does not meet, in which case you may need to determine if there are other membership platforms that will better meet those needs.

We recommend you use the [mw eventwidget] widget shortcode instead. The [mw open=”…”] can only be used once per page, so if you have a member signup form, etc. those features will not work.

Please use the use the shortcode:

with the optional parameters:

grp=”…” – comma separated list of event categories to pull from (default all)
cnt=”3″ – number of upcoming events to display (default 3)
lgo=”1″ – display event thumbnail
szp=”1″ – do not display event start date/time
ezp=”1″ – do not display event end date/time
adn=”1″ – display event location

For example:

[mw eventwidget grp=”0,1,2″ cnt=”5″ lgo=”1″ adn=”1″]

will display 5 upcoming events from event categories 0,1 and 2, with event thumbnail, start/end date/times and location.

We have many customers using the Divi theme with MembershipWorks without issue. Please check that:

1. You have only one [mw open=”…”] shortcode on the page. These are not “widgets”, the [mw open=”…”] features (such as join form, calendar, directory) are intended to be placed on their own pages, so you should not use them in sidebars, etc. Only 1 shortcode will work on a page.

2. You are not using any tabs plugin on the page, which in many cases can interfere with MembershipWorks.

Hi trevpaq! At this time there is no way to add a label to the tax rules. Due to the way our tax rules system work multiple rules may apply to a user and that would be difficult to display with labels. However we appreciate your feedback and will take that into consideration.

To redirect that properly you should enter the URL to redirect from as /?lang=es not just /?.

The easiest way to delete all the redirects is to click on “Import CSV”, then blank out the text box and click “Import CSV” again. That should clear out all the redirects, then click “Save Changes” to finalize.
