In reply to: [SSL Insecure Content Fixer] Shows update but cannot complete itSame problem.
Also a big fan of Duplicator, but now it seems to have been removed from the plugin repository. What’s the deal with that?

In reply to: [S3 Video Plugin] Latest version .982 not working for meThanks scriptmonkey78. I saw that, but was still leary since it was supposed to be fixed in the latest version and wasn’t.
I ended up moving on and using this plugin instead: http://wordpress.org/plugins/secure-html5-video-player/
Works great and lets me serve my vids from my S3 account, which is what I wanted.
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

In reply to: include all posts, titles, etc from one category into a PageOkay,
I guess I do have a slight problem. Following the instructions above, I was able to create a new page that looks great, just as I want it, only showing posts from a single category. But I’ve got my theme set to show 4 posts per page. When I click on the ‘previous entries’ at the bottom of my newly created page, it shows the same 4 entries, not the 4 previous ones from that category. This works fine on the main blog page where clicking on ‘previous entries’ actually does bring up a page of previous entries. Since I just copied the Main Index template and added the code suggested above, I’m at a loss as to how to fix this. And if you couldn’t tell, I am not a coder and while I could follow the instructions above, I don’t know anything about php.
Any guidance is appreciated. If you want to see the issue, the site is http://www.davesoucy.com. The single category page I created can be found by clicking on the DaveTV tab at the top of the page.
Thanks,

In reply to: Anyone using 2.7 and Godaddy and site runs slow after upgrade?Update 2: Yes, apparently that was a fluke or coincidence because the site (http://www.thetruthaboutdiets.com) is back to crawling along again today.
In fact, tried adding google analytics and Google is unable to verify the site as it times out on them.
Sooo, I guess it’s time to start looking for other hosting options.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Anyone using 2.7 and Godaddy and site runs slow after upgrade?Update: using the pingdom tools, it appeared that the Facebook Connect plugin was hosing things up, even though I wasn’t using it on my blog (although for some reason I had the plugin active). I deactivated it and deleted it, and my response times improved greatly on both my site and admin panel. Fluke? Coincidence? Maybe. But I don’t really care as long as things are moving faster.

In reply to: Anyone using 2.7 and Godaddy and site runs slow after upgrade?Glad to hear I’m not alone with this problem. Having about a dozen web sites on Go Daddy, I know the issue isn’t just “go daddy is slow”. The problem came up just recently after upgrading to 2.7.1 on my blog at http://www.thetruthaboutdiets.com. The funny thing is, another blog at http://www.myfitnessbusiness.com (also on GoDaddy) is running just fine.
So, GDHosting, if there’s any help you can offer, I’m all ears as http://www.thetruthaboutdiets.com is my main blog and the slowdown in speed is killing me. Absent a solution in a day or so, I’ll need to move to a new host.
