i edited the style.css and just added “background-color:rgba(255,255,255,.67);” to “.pin-article”.
that works nice for me.
I am now using the plugin “Background Manager”. That works. 🙂

i’ve got the same problem.
Solving it with the “cover” option works nice (as also explained here: http://css-tricks.com/perfect-full-page-background-image/).
But that’s a solution without WP Supersized. So integration of this technique in the plugin would be very cool!
