When editing a page, you’ll see on the right-hand side the flags for translation, if there is nothing in front of your second language’s slot, it means it is not linked. Then if the second page does exist, you simply need to write its name in and validate. It should do it.
I believe it works through polylang. It was simply on the list of items you can add to the menu bar.
The difficulty is that I am working on a website that has first been created and mended by another person.
