    Hi Abhishek:

    Couple of things to note:
    – the doc you cite refers to the Post Widgets Pro. I don’t have that. I’m using the free version of Elementor, not the pro version
    – the vast majority of posts on the site are created without Elementor, just the classic WordPress editor. The Home page is the only page on the site built with Elementor. In fact, it’s the only page on the site at all. The design is controlled by Post Grid widget supplied by Essential Addons. By fiddling with that, I’ve been able to make the dates appear on the post extracts on the home page and to some extent, on the other category index pages. I’ve had no success with the individual posts.

    The index “pages” are generated by the theme based on categories and controlled by the customizer. That’s why the customizer was the first place I looked for the meta control.

    That, as I described above, is not a page at all — it is generated by the theme and controlled by the customizer using a Post Grid widget

    However, I created the test page as you suggested and selected it for the Post page. Didn’t help on the individual posts.

    Both.

    You’ll note that I’ve included screencaps for both Blog options in the Customizer, and that I’ve got Post Meta checked off. (It would be easier if I could just send the png files themselves, but that’s not an option. Hopefully you’ll be able to zoom in close enough to find whatever you’re looking for.)

    This plugin simply does not work as advertised. I’ve tried it more than a dozen times, and it’s worked only once. Can’t be the file size this time, because there’s a max file size of 512 MB, and the backup I’m trying to import is only 338 MB.

    Hi Phil, and thanks for getting back to me. I’ve checked both those settings. Under restrictions, “inherit restrictions” is on. Under advanced, there is the option to enable inheritance taxonomies, which I’ve done. And if I’m reading this right, I select the category to which I want the restriction to apply and then check the Age Gate checkbox at the bottom. Next step is applying styles to the gateway page.

    No slider. I just activated the Testimonials section of the Homepage template using the Customizer and then installed the plugin as per instructions from the theme developer. That’s what populates the section.

    I finally managed to get it to upload. In fairness, the hosting provider probably had more to do with the upload speed than the plugin, although 120 MB is still a pretty big file. My frustration is also because I was told that I could save a lot of time by using a localhost program to do my development, and whenever I wanted, I could easily upload it to a live server. But when the site was actually ready to go live, it took more than a day to make it happen, and it was anything but easy. There was another migration plugin that generated packages about half that size, but it didn’t upload any faster or work either. I also had trouble with Filezilla when I tried to use FTP.

    I had to run the All in One program several times before it would work. It’s quite time-consuming, but I guess that’s to be expected when it generates a 120 MB package. First couple of times, it was either “not a valid file” or .wpress file or please use the All in One export function (which is exactly what I was doing). Then, after uploading, it would prompt me to log in to the new site — but then it would require me to install WordPress again, which doesn’t make sense because the entire site was built on a WordPress installation! And then, once that was done, the site looked nothing like what I had built. It didn’t bring the pages, the media, the menus, the header, the plugins, or anything else.
