I do not have access to that project anymore but I believe I removed all the HTTPS settings from the admin and let the plugin handle everything.
Meaning that I removed any HTTPS options in WooCommerce and left the site url as HTTP in the Settings.
Hope this works for you too!
I have more info. If I return the value of is_ssl(), I get a false even though my SSL is well set-up and working as you can see.
