In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] Doesnt load in Google Chrome@clintonjeff Hey no problem, whatever works for you. I’ve verified that what I said originally is in fact the case. It’s being worked on and is not a result of the wordpress plugin.
@thepplway You can specify at Google Friend Connect’s official site that you wish to use more than one website with the same account. Then, yes your Site ID will work on your new WordPress site as well.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] Doesnt load in Google ChromeHiya,
Checked out a few things, nice site. I’m guessing this has something to do with how fast both Google Friend Connect and Chrome are expanding their individual projects.
Chrome is a fantastic idea in motion that should really bring on the next gen of how we deal with browsing. In the meantime there’s bound to be a few bugs while everything gets rolled out.
Not sure where the conflict is happening for you without being able to see it run but the Social Bar does seem to work fine on my site(and every other one that I’ve visited) in Chrome btw.
Completely unrelated cool Google Chrome video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlqImTN1Rw0
Hi Prasad,
I was unable to connect to your site to check it out before writing this.
BUT
Am I understanding this right – You can see the socialbar and gadgdets on other peoples computers, but not yours?
If so, try making sure that there are no “ad blockers” installed on your computer that are conflicting with it. (Maybe it’s time to check out google chrome or firefox too!)
Side note, the default installation of IE (without any 3rd party ad blockers) should not have a problem loading Friend Connect at all.
If it is an adblocker of some sort, I’d be curious to find out what software is the culprit.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] Were Sorry messageHi zukny,
Make sure you have set the path on your GFC Integration plugin settings page to reflect the location you uploaded canvas.html and rpc_relay.html to on your site if it was not the main path.(defaults to ‘/’)
Without further details that’s about as detailed an analysis of your situation can be given.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] “We’re Sorry” messageVersion 0.8.6 Just Released:
Allowing you to specify the location that you uploaded the rpc_relay.html and canvas.html files to on your server. Defaults to root directory (/)
Most people will not need to change this, but if you do, the option is now available.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] “We’re Sorry” messageIt doesn’t.
I am working on adding an option to the “GFC Integration” Settings page right now that allows you to tell it where the canvas.html and rpc_relay.html files are located on your server.
I’d like to be able to develop a customized canvas file for your site that you can turn on and add or remove gadgets as you wish as well, this issue only helps me get that much closer to realizing how to do this.
– One step at a time, I’ll have the fix out in the next hour or two.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] “We’re Sorry” messageI just released version 0.8.5 which should eliminate that problem you were having. Give the new version a try if you feel up to it, I’m hoping it works without a hitch for you and thanks again.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] “We’re Sorry” messageAfter reviewing your site with the code put in from Google, I can see the problem. It’s entirely my fault for not implementing this option yet.
I didn’t realize this would be an issue, but it appears that if you upload the two Friend Connect files to a different directory than your home directory – the code must be adapted to reflect those changes (duh).
I’ll include that option in the update I’m releasing tonight. Thanks for pointing out this issue!

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Friend Connect Integration] “We’re Sorry” messageHi PxlBuzzard
Make sure that you have your Site Id put into the setting page, not your WordPress API key or some other such thing.
To get your Site Id you must register your website with Friend Connect then find it in the supplied gadget codes. There`s more info, links and support at the official Google Friend Connect Integration page at the Social Arrow.
Important Side Note: You must register each site you want to use with friend connect directly at Google to get your new Site Id for each.
Hope this helps!

I’m releasing updates that should take care of your concerns and hopefully add even more “out-of-the-box” functionality to friend connect for WordPress users.
Check out the roadmap here:
