…Apologies, I was half asleep when I posted that last message!

I don’t mean that I want to encase a menu ‘grid’ within the header tag. I mean that I would like to encase a menu grid within a div tag, that accounts for the top (6th) of the home page.

I hope this makes more sense.

    1. Is it possible to make a grid homepage menu, made of images?

    and…

    2. can I sit this menu ontop of a background image?

If so what would be the best way of going about this with a WordPress theme?

Look forward to reading your replies!

    Thanks,

    Danny.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply, it’s much appreciated.

To be honest I have no idea! I know a little html, and understand the basics of css, but that was for simple web pages. I’m not a css professional (I know where the customise option in WordPress is, because I’ve been watching some You Tube videos on the topic, so with instructions I could add some code).

As far as the images go, I was wondering if it’s possible to have a background image in a header bar (that the menu sits in)? And then have some further images for menu buttons, that would sit ontop of the background image.

I can’t find any information on the internet about how to do this. I would be willing to insert some code in, if somebody is able to guide me.

As for themes, I haven’t settled on one yet. I’m thinking perhaps a drop and drag theme. But I don’t want to buy one until I know that it’s going to be compatible with whatever solution I need for my menu bar. I don’t know if I’m going to need a plugin that can do this, or a theme that will allow me to manually do this?

    All replies are gratefully received!

    Thanks,

    Danny.
