In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] Bandcamp Tracks Not Workinghey Regis,
Just wanted to let you know, I did an update recently that should fix this issue. If the user puts in a custom URL, the plugin will detect the service and get the relevant info to display the proper player. It also works with single track Bandcamp accounts.

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] it seems that there is a bugHey Dawson,
The function the errors refers to is from BuddyPress. This plugin requires BuddyPress to be installed and active already. Is that already installed on your site? If so, what version? If not, you’ll need to install BuddyPress first.

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] Widgets appear on all pagesAny chance I could get an admin login for your site? I didn’t remove the hide checkbox and I’m seeing on my development site.

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] Widgets appear on all pagesThis one has me stumped. At the beginning of each of these widgets, there’s a check (a BuddyPress function) that sees if its on a profile page. If it comes back positive (as in, you’re on a BuddyPress profile page), the widget is displayed. If not, nothing is displayed. The fact that its displaying at all is just odd. I’m not sure if that’s an issue with the theme or BuddyPress or…?
Have you checked the box to “hide if empty”? That should hide it also, but should still show up on a profile page if there’s relevant content.

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] Music player errorArg. Looks like it will conflict with some people’s server config (like yours apparently). I’ll make another update to work around it.

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] Video and music playersAre you seeing this error on a profile page:
Please enter a width in the widget options.
If you are, enter the width of your sidebar.
If not, I’m not sure what the issue could be. The link you posted works for me. If the width is set and the video is embeddable, it should just work. Without poking around the site itself, I’m not sure what else to recommend.

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] Video and music playersI’m going to post an update shortly that should stop posting the URL to the page. That was a bit of error checking that I should have removed before posting the previous update.
Can you post the actual URLs here so I can test them on my development site? Are they available for embedding on YouTube? I’ve run into a situation in the past where people were trying to keep a video private by not allowing embedding, but then trying to use this plugin to embed it on their site, which won’t work. Can you try posting my two test URLs to see if they show up properly?

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] Video and music playersHey CNew,
I’ll take a look, but I’ll need all the information:
What site did you post them on?
What URL(s) did you post?
Which field did you put the URL into?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] What HTML is supported? No prob! I’m basically going to tweak the standard WordPress RSS widget for BuddyPress, so hopefully that will handle everything you need.

In reply to: [BP Profile Widgets] What HTML is supported?Hey Angella,
Its using the standard textarea field that’s used throughout BuddyPress. I don’t have a list of what can and can’t be used in there, but I was able to get links to work. I think an RSS widget would be a good thing to add to this plugin, I’ll work on that and release it when I get it working. π
