Hey Dave,
I found what you’re talking about and fixed it. Bug update 0.412 is coming soon.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] More shows linkNot sure what you mean. The plugin update should make the “more shows” link in the widget go to whatever URL you put in the “ArtistData Profile URL” option. Is that what you mean?

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] ArtistDataPress Settings won't SaveHey Hank,
I’m not sure what to tell you try next. I can’t reproduce your error on my end, so I don’t believe it’s a bug. It may be something with the server or a conflict with the theme, but it could be a dozen other things too.
SlushmanHey rayjon,
It looks like the open_basedir setting has something in it and it needs to be blank in order to let cURL grab the info from the ArtistData XML feed. See if you can log in and change that setting to blank and let me know if the plugin starts working.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] More shows linkHey Jenn,
That’s supposed to take viewers to your Artistdata page, which is the “ArtistData Profile URL” option you’d need to fill in the plugin options. You can put in any URL in that field in the plugin options and the “more shows” link would take them to that URL instead. I suppose it’s better to keep them on your site, huh? πNo prob, I just added “future” to the end and that showed the upcoming stuff. I’ve changed how the plugin creates the map link. It will now use the full state name instead of the abbreviation, which should resolve the issues you were seeing. The events in Berlin show up correctly, even though its uses “Berlin Berlin Germany”, but Google Maps seems to handle it correctly any way. I don’t know where ArtistData got those abbreviations, but it everyone a disservice if its not something actually used. π
Also, if the state field says “No State”, it will create the map link using the city and country, so the “No State” bit won’t appear.
FYI – I noticed one of the shows on that feed has the city and country in the address line, but those also appear in the city and country fields too, which would then get duplicated when the map link is created. Google Maps still seems to find the location properly, but that’s something to watch out for. π
There’s one other person who posted a bug report, so I’m going to take a look at that, then I’ll post the update. Should see it tomorrow some time.
Hey starrockdan,
Since you’re not having the exact same issue, can you start a new post? It’s best to keep issues separated on the forums so people can find answers later. π
SlushmanHey Hans,
Can I see your XML feed? I don’t have any international gigs in mine, so I’d need to check out what information is included to see how to best format it.
Hmm. I’m not able to create an account on your site, so I’m not able t troubleshoot much. Can you give me (or email me) an account to try out? chris at slushman dot com
Hey DJ,
Can you email me? I’d like to get more info from you, but you won’t want to post it on here. chris at slushman dot com. If I get a solution, I’ll post it here for everyone else who comes across this thread, or I’ll post an update to the plugin with the fix.
Thanks

In reply to: [BuddyBar Widget] [Plugin: BuddyBar Widget] How to use buddybar widget?I assume you mean you want to hide the top bar (aka BuddyBar) so the BuddYBar Widget is the only way to log into BuddyPress? Check out my article on how to do that:

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] Fatal Error with 0.374Gotcha. I’m taking a look and it appears that something changed on the XML feed in February of 2010. It looks like all the events prior to that don’t have a timezone associated with the event, so that’s causing the script to hose up. I’m working on having the script ignore the time zone if it’s empty. I’ll update the plugin as soon as I get that bit worked out.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] Fatal Error with 0.374I’m not seeing anything like that on my dev site. It sounds like one of the events on your AD feed is missing the timezone. I assume you’re using the latest version of the plugin? I remember seeing someone else post about this issue and I’m pretty it was resolved back in March or April. Can you give me URLs (site where it’s happening and the XML feed)?
