One more clarification: I am using SiteOrigin’s Page Builder plugin so that might be interacting somehow.
To clarify, I am using WordPress 4.2.2 uploaded to my web host (Bluehost) using the one-click install they feature.
I then typed in http://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin and logged in from there.
