  • Hi @bapakrob ,
    Thanks for reaching out to us,

    Sure, you can create a custom template for the address module.
    This is the file you need to copy: /the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/address.php

    Place the copy here: [your-theme]/tribe-events/modules/

    Then you can customize the template in your theme by taking the pieces you don’t want to show.

    Hi @cwpv ,
    Thanks for reaching out,

    Could you please elaborate more on this. Some screenshots would be helpful if you need to show what your calendar shows and what you’d like to show.

    Looking forward to your reply

    Hi @brianbws,

    Thanks for sharing the steps to reproduce the error.
    I’ve tried using Gutenberg 8.2.1 with the same setup as you shared and the views selector works just fine.
    Could you try updating to the latest version of Gutenberg just in case?

    If the issue persists, I’d appreciate if you could share your site’s system information in your reply. You can find it under Events->Help

    Let me know how it goes.

    Hi @gponte1977
    Thanks for writing in,
    That’s an interesting question. Events category is a custom taxonomy, but I guess you should be able to register the same taxonomy on a different post type.
    I haven’t tried this before but you could give it a shot. You need to do this manually hooking to an early action (init maybe).

    This is a starting point. I will try to find out some more details about the arguments array.

    function expand_taxonomy(){register_taxonomy('event_category', 'your_post_type', $args);
    }

    Hi @paul-filkin ,
    Thanks for writing in,

    There seems to be a ‘CSS rule’ hiding the start date/time
    You should look into the code and take that piece of code away.

    As a temporary workaround you can add this to Appearance->Customize->Additional CSS:

    abbr.tribe-events-abbr.tribe-events-start-datetime.updated.published.dtstart {
        display: block !important;

    Hi @kaycookie,
    Thanks for writing in,

    We are currently investigating an issue related to the views selector. This seems to occur under a specific setup.
    Could you please confirm if you are working on a multisite install and also if that was the case, if it is a subdirectory setup?

    Looking forward to your reply

    Hi @zoeyisyoung,
    Thanks for reaching out.

    Unfortunately our plugin does not provide the access control feature out of the box.
    About your questions:
    – Yes, you can add the community plugin any time.
    – As I mentioned before, this is not a built in feature on any of our plugins, and we don’t have an extension or addon to suggest.

    If you are interested in spending some time to make it work, you can take a look at this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pods/
    Pods will allow you to create relationships between contents in your site.
    As an example, say you want to be able to define the groups for which an event will be available, then you create a ‘Pod’ to make a relation between tribe-events post type and the ‘private groups’ previously created. This will allow you to show an extra field on event creation page to select the groups for each event.
    Note that this will solve the relationship problem on the dashboard (set and get groups, events allowed groups, etc.) Then you will have to create the logic on the code to filter the events based on the assigned values (groups).

    This is a very powrful plugin, hence quite complex. But there are some great support threads to look into> https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/pods/

    I hope this can be useful.

    Hi @gelly34
    Thanks for writing in,

    The “Archive” title could be coming from your theme. There may be an easy way to deactivate it from the theme settings?
    If not, there is always the chance to hide the text with some CSS. I’d be happy to point you the right CSS selector. Could you please share the site’s URL to have a look?

    Thanks

    Hi @brianbws,
    Thanks for getting in touch,

    I would like to have some more context to see if this is generated by a specific setup in your site. Could you please share your system information in your reply?
    Also, does this affect any other calendar view in any way? How does it look in the front end?

    Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Hi @littlebizonline,
    Thanks for writing in,

    Based on what you described, the first four items can be accomplished with Events Calendar PRO. You wouldn’t need a license for Events Tickets Plus as long as you are ok with using only PayPal as payment method for your tickets sales. If you need more flexibility then ET Plus is a must.

    I would need some more context for your last question. What do you mean by “calendar of attendees” ?

    Feel free to reach directly to us if you have any pre-sales question: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/pre-sales-questions/

    Hi @rarfa
    Thanks for writing in,

    This is a very unusual issue.
    I wonder if there is any snippet in your functions.php that could be hooking to
    ‘tribe_events_cost_unformatted’ or maybe ‘tribe_get_cost’ ?

    Let me know

    Hi @honeycombstudios ,
    Thanks for reaching out,

    If you only want the text to show in a specific view, then you need to create a custom template for the view content file.
    For the month view, the template you need to customize is: /the-events-calendar/src/views/month/content.php

    Create a copy and place it here: [your-theme]/tribe-events/month/

    A good place to put the text is after the header on line 25.
    Note that Fusion is hiding the default header element, so make sure you assign a different id to this text.
    Also note that this customization will only work using the legacy styles as you are using now. For the V2 Styles you need to customize a different template.

    Last, this is an example for month view. If you want to do the same for List view it is a similar process with this template> /the-events-calendar/src/views/list/content.php

    I hope it helps

    hi @andifidi ,
    Thanks for reaching out,

    Just to be clear, you mean showing the status of the event in the list widget located on the sidebar?
    If that is the case you will need to create a custom template for this file:
    /the-events-calendar/src/views/widgets/list-widget.php

    you will need to place a copy of that file in a directory within your theme directory like this: [your-theme]/tribe-events/widgets/

    Once you have the file there, you need to get the event status. This line of code should work: $status = get_post_meta( $post_id, '_tribe_events_control_status', true );

    Then you need to decide how and where to display the $status. You can do echo $status; just to verify it works.

    Hi @danstramer ,

    If you mean the legacy styles, the file to customize would be: /the-events-calendar/src/views/month/single-day.php
    See line 23.

    Your custom template should go here: [your-theme]/tribe-events/month/

    Let me know if it works

    Cheers

    Hi @rlaroi,
    Thanks for writing in,

    I wonder if the issue still persists?
    If so, could you please run a conflict test to see if wwe can narrow down the search for a conflict with theme or other plugin?

    Please let me know what you find.
