The magazine-style themes that I trying to use are good from .org according to the developers …ex. http://wordpress.org/themes/oxygen
The instructions to make the slider and the home page look like that…says to create a page, make it>page attributes>front page and then reading settings>static page>select that page you just created.
It doesn’t work.
No theme with that style is working.
