Paul thanks you , that seems to work beautifully on the normal drop don menu, but when I minimise the screen (as if seen on a mobile device) the line feed on menu items remains too deep. Any idea what bit of code affects this?

Andrew thank you that the accordion menu certainly a big step in the right direction, I dont know yet if I can sort of link it to the main menu bar, but I have plenty to play with many thanks.
