In reply to: No dashboard & URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this serverThank you so much for your time. I have a request in with my host, so fingers crossed they can help me. They’re usually very good.
Really appreciate you talking me through it.
Thanks so much and have a good evening!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: No dashboard & URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this serverI’m not sure about the WordPress 1. I’m guessing because I struggle with this backend stuff that I accidentally installed it twice?
But it has always worked neverthless.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: No dashboard & URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this serverIn the School Food World pathway I have (I must have done multiple installs when I was starting out! Sigh)
Topline: wordpress, sub folder: wordpress, blogs, tmp, then wordpress 1, wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes. The wordpress folder starts with index.php and ends with xmlrpc.php as you described.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: No dashboard & URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this serverOK, so in the Overthinking site I have topline WordPress, sub folders blogs, tmp; then WordPress 1, wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes. Also in that WordPress topline folder I have .maintenance, then index.php, down to xmlrpc.php.

In reply to: No dashboard & URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this serverI hope not! I haven’t touched the Overthinking files. Sorry for being thick, and thanks again for helping me, what’s the install folder filename?

In reply to: No dashboard & URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this serverYes. The long story is I tried to upload a new theme to my FTP but I think I made a bit of a hash of it and I ended up moving a bunch of the files around to where they shouldn’t be.
This is for my School Food World site.
My other site – Overthinking – was fine and less complex so I copied the complete file path down for that, and then used that as a map to put all the files on School Food World back to where they should be (I hope).
Until just now the site itself was fine, I was just getting the Not Found message when I tried to go into the Dashboard.
Now I realise that both sites are now down and I am getting that 123 Linux message above, so now I’m wondering if it’s actually a hosting issue.
But yes, I did move all of those substantial files. I took all of their content and put them in the same folders on a higher up branch of the pathway, so now it looks exactly like the Overthinking file pathway (which I haven’t touched) but now I realise that is down too. Argh!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: No dashboard & URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this serverJust realised my other site has gone down too and I am now seeing this message:
Warning: require(/websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/ov/er/th/overthinking.co.uk/public_html/SchoolFood/wordpress/wp-includes/load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/ov/er/th/overthinking.co.uk/public_html/SchoolFood/wordpress/wp-settings.php on line 21

In reply to: FTP panic website vanishedThnk you Esmi for your reply. The weird thing is the site itself seems intact, it’s when I try to log into the dashboard I’m getting the error message.

In reply to: [Online Backup for WordPress] Using Filezilla / ftp to restore the databaseHiya,
OK, so it turned out I didn’t need the database, just the files, and those have all migrated via the ftp and the site seems to be up and back to normal, so YAY!
Thanks so much for your advice. Very greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Siobhan
