  • @songdogtech,

    thanks for the suggestion and the link..something new for me to learn and explore it’s effectiveness in regards to the script…

    I have not used it before as most of the time, i used phpadmin method to retrieve my access to WordPress….

    oh ok…

    what i would suggest is to check your permission for the following path:
    wp-content/themes

    by default is 775, check it and see got any issue to activate default wp theme..if not, try 777.

    The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/dibo1522/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/11.

    as for this, your theme files should not be located or moved over there..try to check the directory to see if there is any php files..if yes, delete it..maybe malicious codes..as normally that directory is for pictures…

    as for wpnow, it is a premium wordpress theme and normally it should not have any compatibility issue…perhaps drop them a line and see if they could provide more info….

    If u have reinstall the plugin, then it may not be plugin issue…

    But again, when u migrate from your previous provider to the new provider. are you using the same WordPress version?

    If no, that might be a compatibility issue if u are using a newer version in your new hosting provider…

    Besides that, it might be permission issue to on folder where u store your images..try to change chmod to 777…see if that would help

    @dwkblog,

    your theme looks great…very clean…u coded it on your own?

    @sportbili,

    using thesis framework yah? can’t wait to see your site after all the modification…good luck…

    Criz,

    What WordPress version are u using? Did u install the latest version to see if that helps?

    And on your chmod permission, try change to 777 as sometimes it works for me depends on which web hosting provides u are in…

    @clickkt,

    Personally i don’t think it is necessary to create wp-config file manually…

    Based on my personal experience, if the wp-config is not exist, WordPress will auto point user into

    Well it is just a wish..i have encountered this issue before…and that is what i have done to retrieve back my access to my blog.. 🙂

    Well i think the only way is to contact your web hosting provider for resolution…

    What u can do also is to create a php file named phpinfo and put this the following code

    <?php phpinfo(); ?>

    Save it and upload to your test server and your real site…and you will see the difference of PHP information…

    You may print out the information into PDF and send it your web hosting provider for them to compare what is missing? That may solve the issue…

    I did encounter similar issue with other plugin..and it turns out the issue lies with web hosting end…hopefully this would share some light to you…

    To obtain your MySQL db username and password, all u need is to

    1) Download wp-config.php file via FTP – normally this file is in your root directory
    2) Open up the file
    3) You will see your database name, username and password over there…

    This comes in handy especially u have multiple blog installation in one web hosting account….

    First of all, change your theme and activate the default theme to see whether it happens again..isolate the theme issue first.

    If still happens, disable all plugins that u have..as one of them could cause the issue…if after disable all, it works fine..this mean one of the plugin is causing conflict…

    Did u install any caching plugin like Super Cache, W3 total cache and etc? If yes, try to clear your cache and that might be the issue…delete any folder name called “cache”..normally in wp-content directory…

    Worst case, you may need to reinstall WordPress again manually by overriding the core files via FTP

    I have yet to encounter this issue before…but when i have any issue..i always isolate the issue right from theme, plugin and wordpress core files…hopefully it helps…

    when I try to login it just keeps refreshing the page

    Does the “refresh” happens when u visit e.g http://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php or after u type in your username and password?

    Refreshing as in nothing is showing up…while your browser is loading and just show a blank page rite?

    If u have tried to do a clean installation before, i would suggest to install it manually using the following steps

    a) Create database – take note of db name, username, password
    b) Upload WordPress files into FTP directory
    c) Point your browser to http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/install.php and key in all database info for installation
    d) Write down the auto generated username and password and login again…

    If issue persist again, most likely it is due to your web hosting provider…contact them…

    If that is the case, the only way to reset your WordPress login is via PHPmyadmin…

    All u need to do is
    1) Create a MD5 hash of your password –

    After creating database, you don’t add the db info into config file…

    All u need is to point your site domain to
    http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/install.php

    Then, u fill up your db info like
    a) DB name
    b) DB username
    c) DB password
    d) Prefix – make sure don’t use “wp_” use other prefix with alphanumerical for security purposes…

    If u get error establishing connection when you go to the link (the one above)…then it may be issue with web hosting provider..contact them for more info then…
