Dear maners, luckily enaugh I tried again today and everything was working perfectly… so perhaps it was simply a temporary problem in the system… Thank you anyway for your attention!
Dear MANERS, thank you very much for writing and sorry for not answering before but I’m very very new to publishing posts in WordPress, I have no experience at all in this kind of things, and I don’t even know what is a list of plugins!! I also don’t know what is the meaning of “the HTML editing toolbar showing over the visual editor” but I don’t think I have this problem as my visual editor seems to be ok. And I don’t undestand what you mean by “the issue is with WordPress SEO by YOAST. Turn it off the additional glitch toolbar disappears and I can make links. Turn it on and it recreates the problem”. Could you please explain it to me in other words???

I am able to highlight the text I wish to link, press the link button in the toolbar, as well as insert the link’s information. But, when I press the blue “update” button it either refreshes the page, takes me to my dashboard, or takes me to the posts list. What shall I do????
