Thanks Josh and ramlal.tr, I seem to have deleted some core files and now need to have my host provider fix my mistakes. I will consider this post resolved since there is nothing left for anyone to do! (expect maybe cross their fingers for me).
Thank you Josh… I have learned my lesson when it comes to editing php.
I apologise for your grievances as a result of my foolishness! (Though for philosophy’s sake I must point out that the ignorant are just so, and therefore would have little inclination that they were so dangerously ignorant until proven to be :/…like me).
I have deleted all wordpress files and re-installed. Yet now there appears to be a server error (The requested URL / was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.)
However, I feel you have done as best you can in advising me and will seek further advice with my hosting provider.
