First of all I am a newbie in WordPress and also face the slider problem same as yours.
Now I have solved the roblem by this:
I found polylang does not support multilingual sliders. So I delete it and install qTranslate-x instead. It words like a charm. So in your sliders content you just use the code, for example:
[:en] English content [:fr]French content [:]
It works for me.
