Thanks numeeja, but unfortunately I still have the problem.

The problem can’t be 1), 3) or 4) because phpinfo.php runs ok. Changing the directives in 2) and 5) didn’t seem to make any difference (the wordscript php files don’t seem to use either short tags or asp-style tags anyhow).
Any other ideas please?
