I should have marked this as resolved! But there were a few things that I had to fix to sort it.Firstly the images I had made in the gallery were (stupidly) in cmyk, which is fine on some browsers, but apparently IE can’t handle that. So check they are RGB.
Presumably you have set the images as featured images on each post?
That’s all I would know to try. sorry – I’m no pro!
But the main topic solution was to add this line of code at the very top of the header page:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN”
“http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd”>Which I’d stupidly missed out. Hope some of that helps!?

I actually was able to solve the problem in under 10 minutes with this installed.
