Ok I apologise if this is already answered somewhere, but I have searched extensively in this forum and on Google and I can’t find a direct answer.

I have been working through a twenty eleven theme (child theme!), but the person I am doing it for likes everything except the space at the sides of the pages/posts.

I have removed the space above and below, and now need to remove the spaces at the side of the body content.

There is a large margin either side (on the right-hand side the sidebar sometimes appears here).

I have gone through putting all margins and paddings to 0, but I cannot get rid of the left hand margin. For example purposes, let’s say I want the post/page and title to literally start at the edge of the body on the far left.

Could someone please help me 🙂

    Thanks in advance!

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of work.

That’s great. I have been using the inspect element feature in Google Chrome for the last six months, which has been great – but this offers WAY more support and is perfect.

I actually was able to solve the problem in under 10 minutes with this installed.

Many thanks for your fast response!

    Stephen 🙂
