In reply to: Twenty Ten Internet Explorer 7 GapThanks for this, I took a look. I’m not a particularly confident coder, so it doesn’t surprise me that there’s a lot of errors!
Any advice as to where in the errors to start looking?
I realise that IE7 isn’t used much these days, but it’s such a crazy problem – I was concerned there may be something that will effect the rest of the site at some point.
Thanks in advance.

In reply to: Standard Theme IssuesHey Manovotny!
Thanks for getting back to me. Turns out they had signed up the theme with my details which is why I couldn’t get in. We paid $49 for the theme – is that the support licence? Or is that extra?
Sure, the error reads
popup: “the page at (website address) says: error”
space for logo: “logo.png did not upload. Please try again.”

In reply to: [Simple Portfolio] [Plugin: Simple Portfolio] Create theme PHP pageHey as a non-php genius myself – my recommendation would be to download and use the theme that the plugin people have made themselves, then copy across the relevant files to the theme you are wanting to use.
In all honesty, in the end, I didn’t use the plugin, I used a specific category, called it portfolio and it did basically the same thing (then omitted that category from the blog-roll).
I have no idea if any of that helps – but that’s my experiences…. someone more experienced would understand it more I think…

In reply to: [Simple Portfolio] [Plugin: Simple Portfolio] Create theme PHP pageHey – thanks for the response.
In the end, I installed the theme that they recommended and then backwards engineered it from there. I then figured I’d just do what I needed to do with categories.
Thanks anyway for getting back to me on this one. Had someone have said that earlier – the whole thing would have made a lot more sense to me!!

In reply to: Minimatica IE issuesHey,
Thanks for the comments… to be honest, it took ages to go through the whole site ironing out IE bugs. Honestly, after this site, I have vowed to never touch IE by choice again!
But I highly recommend using firebug for firefox (it’s a free plugin) which allows you to play with the code on your site as its live. It helped me find a lot of the issues.
The above line of code fixed a lot for me, but also being literally explicit in all of my coding (i.e. not width: 35; but instead width: 35px;) helped.
If all else fails, I nearly just deleted the side arrows to enable just a four boxed gallery at the start for the latest posts. That would probably solve your problem (although may not be what you are looking for aesthetically!)
Sorry I can’t be more help. I wish I was a genius coder, but alas, I am not!
Stephen 🙂
