This is what worked for me:
I went to the “Change Permalinks” page, and picked another option (I chose the “Month and name” option). Then, when I went back to the individual page I needed to edit, the “Edit” button was BACK, and I was able to edit the permalink like usual.
This is what worked for me: The old pages were stuck in the “Trash”. Go to the “Edit Pages” page, look for the “Trash” link (it’s small, and near the top). DELETE PERMANENTLY any of your old drafts that were stuck in the trash.
Then, it should let you re-name your current page.
