Thanks so much for your advice. It sounds great, but I’m not savvy in all these codes and I’m not comfortable changing and adding things on my site:(

lol Cute pun! My question though – why is it ‘falling off’ the tick box?
No because I fixed it as soon as I became aware of it. On the edit page of each post, there is a box with the ‘image options’. Show featured Image in category: and Show featured Image in post view: are always ticked off, but for some reason 7 posts had them unticked (they were previously ticked).
