The plugun that I have says “Recent posts with thumbnails” can you provide with this link that you are mentioning? Since you say I’m not using the correct one.

I am using Recent Posts with Thumbnails. After installing it and placing the widget on the home page, is there another step that I am supposed to do?
I tried to update a recent post to see if the thumbnail would appear, but nothing changed.
