In reply to: [Ditty – Responsive News Tickers, Sliders, and Lists] I get nothing..Ive contacted the theme dev and they say my location should work. Can you have a look at line 273 and perhaps you can see if it looks good to you.
https://gist.github.com/puyaalexxx/4633426799dfcd14e4c6f1facaa6c442not sure what else i can do to get this to work in the header. thanks for sticking with me on this.

In reply to: [Ditty – Responsive News Tickers, Sliders, and Lists] I get nothing..so..i trashed the old tick and created a new one and put it in the middle of the page using shortcode and it works. Then, if i also add it to the header file (php function or do_shortcode), neither works.
Ive added query monitor and WP DEBG but i dont see anything out of the ordinary.
thoughts?

In reply to: [Ditty – Responsive News Tickers, Sliders, and Lists] I get nothing..Sure.. Here is a test page on a dev site: the ticker should be in the middle of the page just below the event calendar and above the logo carousel.

In reply to: [Ditty – Responsive News Tickers, Sliders, and Lists] I get nothing..i did actually try to put a shortcode on the standard page and it still didnt work so i switched themes to twentyseventeen and it worked which leads me to think the theme (Divi) is causing the problem.
Ive also experimented by putting some other basic shortcodes in the header area and they worked. I also tried specifying using only 300px width for the tick but i got nothing at all. I at least would expect to see some overlap or misalignment – then at least i could have somewhere to start adjusting.

In reply to: WordPress 4.9 Error – Unable to Edit header.php FilesHope its ok to hijack this thread instead of starting a new one. I too am having this issue with all my websites – wordpress 4.9.4. They are hosted on SITEGROUND. I have De-Activated ALL plugins and reverted to TwentySeventeen theme and still get the same problem.
I have tested this on PHP v 7.1.1.4 and 7.2 with the same result. Siteground support has made an attempt to check all logs, errors and configs and find same problems.
I have installed and run WP HEALTH CHECK with all plugins de-activated and i get the following errors:
Background Updates: The WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE constant is defined and enabled.
WordPress security and maintenance releases are blocked by define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );
Loopback Request: The loopback request to your site failed, this may prevent WP_Cron from working, along with theme and plugin editors.<br>Error encountered: (0) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes receiI also have a few websites at GoDaddy, also running wp 4.9.4 and i cannot edit theme .php files there either but i get a different message – Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.
Heres a image link showing example.. Scrape Nonce failed…
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
