Ahh…ok…
I thought that if I was using the plugin on site1.com and wanted to have a FB page for site1.com, I’d create an app
If I had a site2.com and wanted to create a FB page for site2.com I had to re-verify using the FB site 2 account.
So the 1 FB account I already have verified, I just create an app for each other site as required…using the api key and secret key for whatever site I make…
Gotcha…didn’t think that could be done, but appreciate your time, and sorry for the frustration…
I’ll give it a whirl
ThanksI’m not reauthorizing….
Hmm…
it’s a brand new site, or brand new app to go with that site.
hopefully this clears this up.
site1.com….create an app for FB site1FBapp
verified using phone
all ok..site2.com…different site, create an app for FB site2FBapp
verified using credit card
All oksite3.com..again different site,
can’t create an app for FB because
the phone method can’t be used, because it was already verified in site1.com
can’t use the credit card verification because that was already used
in site3.comcreating a bunch of apps for 1 site isn’t the problem, but if you have a number of sites, let’s say a sports team blog like several NFL teams, unless you have several cell phones, or several credit cards, you can’t create a FB site for each team site.
If I’m misinterpreting this in some way, I apologize.
I like the twitter method used for verifying, as all the sites we’re using have their own twitter site, but the FB thing is a tough nut to crackDoes that help?

In reply to: Have all Twitter plugins been screwed over by Twitter?Just an informal update…
The simple-twitter-connect
is an interesting way to go, although, it takes away from the original premise of user simple….You have to create an application …..what type of app? have no idea…
register the app, then get a key, and secret key, then in order to use the app, have to insert the scripting somewhere within the pages of the blog. Not really simple enough to just post and have it relayed automatically.
I suppose it would be once it’s been implemented, but if one doesn’t want to start mucking with placement of code in the wrong spots, then this isn’t for them.I know dev’s do this for free, and some even have a link to donate which I have no problem ever doing, what they do is appreciative, but from the end user’s standpoint, simpler is better.
Hopefully those that have apps that are already developed and not working will get them to work…or some enterprising dev can maybe tweak things to make them work again.
Funny though how there’s thousands of working apps for Twitter to blog, but limited resources from blog to Twitter.

In reply to: Have all Twitter plugins been screwed over by Twitter? Thanks for the reply and update, I’m sure I’m not the only one in the same boat at least for now…
Will check those two out, although twitter-tools which I’ve tried before, sometimes doesn’t play well with others…
Again appreciate the info…

In reply to: [Twitme] [Plugin: Twitme] Login Problems!Same thing here…
Not sure what’s changed, but this was simple to implement.
How, when I hit Test Now button, I get
could not log in to Twitter
but if I hit save then click the twitme link all the stats are
there, along with the working link to the twitter page.Homepage for this plugin returns a 404 message, might be time to find an alternative
