In reply to: [WooCommerce Stellar] Can you create one for Ripple too?Scratch that. I just realized you can accept any currency of your trusted gateway, which pretty much leaves coinex with the JC implosion. Still pretty cool. Thanks!

In reply to: [B1st Wordpress Ticket System] Fatal errorI received the same error as the OP. I am looking for a new faq/knowledgebase/ticketing system type plugin and this one looked very promising, but it won’t activate for me either.
Also gotta say, your comment to the OP was not cool. I thought you were the offensive one for jumping to conclusions like that. Perhaps you should stick to programming and let someone else handle the user/customer facing stuff. 😉
I’ll go find something else, thanks anyway.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
Hi Cais-
Thanks for responding.
It’s a private locked down site (only home page is visible), but I could probably make one of the gallery’s public if you needed to have a look. Would that work? Could I possibly send the url directly to you so the url is not posted in a public forum too?

In reply to: [Search by ID] Curious if this plugin still worksScratch my request. I just reread the plugin details and noticed it’s for back end only. I need a front end solution. 🙁
Thanks Cais. Unfortunately both those settings seem to be set appropriately.
I’ll keep messing around, clearing cache, regenerating thumbs, etc. Luckily this only seemed to happen on a group of a half dozen galleries, so worst case I can just manually resize and upload via ftp or something, but hopefully I can figure this thing out.
Thanks again for your suggestions.
Thanks Cais. The no template setting works perfectly.
I’ll still work on the thumbnail size issue. There must be a setting somewhere that I missed somewhere.
that response was posted before I read your last reply, so I’ll go check that setting and follow up. Thank you.
fyi, on certain galleries if I delete the thumbnails and create new (after flushing cache), some of them will still recreate in random sizes.
Thanks for the response Cais.
-I have tried regenerating thumbnails on those galleries with various shaped ones a number of times, but I’ll go try it now after flushing the cache.
-When I add new galleries (the last two at least), the thumbs appear to all be the same size which is good, but they are still not aligning correctly in the Twenty Thirteen theme for me. If I set 6 images across, I get 5, then one on the next line. If I set 5 images across, I get 4, then one on the next line.
-Should we not be using the green button to add galleries? (and if not, how should we be?) To be honest, I always used the nggallery id shortcode until the plugin changed and didn’t display the gallery id right after you added it, which is when I started using the green button inside a new post.

In reply to: Website Restore and WWW AliasI should make a correction in the third paragraph and say I can get the site URL to load with the www (but the site itself doesn’t display) until I remove the .htaccess redirect and go back to using just plain mydomain.com. (which again my posts won’t work with because they all have the www included)

In reply to: I Give Up – Connection lost error HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED!!!!!@ Erin – I think the OP’s attitude is just sounding this way out of frustration. I have to agree with this frustration except the part about throwing all sysadmins under the bus. HeeeeyNooooow!
I get that the mods are just trying to enforce the rules about starting your own thread which is ideal most of the time, but when there is a problem that seems to be affecting so many installations, I think it actually helps to allow the community (we are a community, right?) to come together to post their hosts, settings, plugins, themes, etc., in combined threads so we can work together in finding the common problem. Single threads work for single problems, but there seems to be a lot of users affected by this, and I’m not just talking about posts on WP, but other sites as well. I think there may not be as much reporting because it’s more of a horrible inconvenience instead of a showstopper and doesn’t effect the front end of the site. JMO
Many of us that are still experiencing this issue on multiple, completely differently configured sites have NOT posted at WP in hopes of figuring the issue out ourselves. Unfortunately in my searches I find many posts similar to how the OP described where it’s not truly resolved, or the user downgraded WP to “resolve” it.
I love WordPress, but something is not right here. I am not a developer, but the link does seem to be WordPress, or something written in WordPress that is affecting a multitude of plugins and themes and not just one or two.
Just my two cents.

In reply to: [Google Doc Embedder] Unable to Find DocumentThe site can access the internet (for example, to update WP versions or plugins through the admin area), but yes, the published pages/urls are only reachable if you’re on our corporate lan, so I guess this will be a no go for me. 🙁

In reply to: [Google Doc Embedder] Unable to Find DocumentActually, when I said it was “private”, I mean inaccessible to the outside world (not in corporate DMZ, internal only), so I doubt that support tab will be help. Dang.
Oh well. I’ll tinker a bit and hopefully can figure it out.
Thank you again for the offer of help. I appreciate the thought. 😉
