Problems uploading images – images not appearing in Media Manager, or on the published web-page.
I’ve spent ages trying to solve this problem. In the end, I logged into my Cpanel and viewed the error_log. I got this message: (part deleted)
[20-May-2013 12:12:31 UTC] PHP Warning: readfile() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/—–/public_html/only-english-lyon.com/wp-content/plugins/user-access-manager/class/UserAccessManager.class.php on line 2077
This told me that the problem was the User Access Manager plug-in. I deactivated it. The images appeared instantly (as they had done before I had activated the plug-in).
I hope this is useful to someone, at least in terms of viewing the error_log
