Seems to be a conflict with a Plugin WP Category Post List
Wasn’t until I disabled all Plugins, disabled WPP then reactived and it started working. I disabled Data Sampling and it is showing the correct view count now.

I saw separate support post about this, so will read through how to resolve this.

I downlaoded and added that new plugin you linked above but getting the same error when it activates.WordPress version 6.2.2
Active theme: Responsive (version 4.8.4)
Current plugin: WordPress Popular Posts (version 6.1.2)
PHP version 8.0.27
