Any news on a fix? I really need this update as my site has been down for months as a result.

I’m having this problem too.
I’ve seen in the other thread (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wordpress-https-ssl-wordpress-https-v192-error-the-page-isnt-redirecting-properly?replies=44) there is a development version that fixes this but I can’t find it.
