Hi! I updated Google for WooCommerce to version 3.9.0, disconnected all accounts, reconnected the Google, Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts, and tried “Sync All Products with Google Merchant Center” again.

The issue persists. In Merchant Center → Settings → Data sources, I can see three primary sources:

    • Merchant Center — Added in Merchant Center — 99 products
    • Content API — 501 products — Needs update
    • Google for WooCommerce (pt/PT) — File (URL) — 1,141 products

I have attached a screenshot of the Data sources page. Could you please confirm which existing source should be retained or migrated before I remove or change anything?

    Hi,

I updated Google for WooCommerce and ran “Sync All Products with Google Merchant Center” from the connection test page, as requested.

    The result was:

0 products successfully submitted to Google.
    There were 644 errors.

All products returned the same error:

To manage items via the API, the data source must have an API input type. API data sources cannot have a fileInput field set.

It appears that the existing Merchant Center data source is configured as a file input, while the plugin is now attempting to manage products through the Merchant API.

Could you please advise how to migrate or recreate the data source correctly without disconnecting the current Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts, and without creating duplicate products?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I cannot identify a specific change made immediately before the issue started. The first failures currently visible in Action Scheduler date from May 20, 2026. The site has received routine WordPress, WooCommerce, theme, and plugin updates, but I did not intentionally disconnect or reconnect the Merchant Center or Google Ads accounts.

Google for WooCommerce is currently version 3.8.1.

I recently performed database maintenance, but this was after the Google for WooCommerce issue had already started. I deliberately did not delete any failed or pending GLA actions, modify GLA tables, or change the existing Google connection.

    Relevant error logs:

The recurring Action Scheduler error is:

Automattic\WooCommerce\GoogleListingsAndAds\MerchantCenter\MerchantStatuses::parse_presync_issue_text(): Argument #1 ($text) must be of type string, array given, called in MerchantStatuses.php on line 613.

    The hook
gla/jobs/update_merchant_product_statuses/process_item accumulated approximately 390 failed actions and was paused after exceeding the allowed failure threshold. The Product Feed Overview Stats do not load, and the products are shown as “Not synced.”

Please let me know the safest way to repair or restart this job without losing the current Merchant Center and Google Ads connections.

    Thank you.
